Personally I’d like to see;
- Orb of Harmony: heal for a percentage of the target, to a maximum amount rather than a set amount (as should all healing).
- Orb of Discord: instead of increasing damage received, change it too; it isolates that character from benefiting from their teammates abilities. Thus it would remove all Symmetra shields, Torbjorn armour-packs, Orbs of Harmony and so forth from that character as well as preventing that character from benefiting from any passive or targeted teammate bonus like: healing from teammates, Lucio speed boosts, Widowmaker infra-sight etc
This effect would last for as long as the Orb of Discord is upon them and this doesn’t stop a character from befitting from their own abilities or health packs. As the game is team based removing that character from any beneficial team bonuses would be a strong debuff without adding to just another kill-death ratio.
See a Genji attack your side and he has an armour-pack and an orb of Harmony, cast Orb of Discord on him and suddenly he’s becomes a lot more manageable, Pharah/ Mercy combo ruining your day; Orb of Discord.
Additionally, both Orbs of Harmony and Discord would have a maximum of medium range before they cease to be on their targets (after are cast on the target, no line of sight is required). Thus enemies can step to long range to remove an Orb of Discord and the Orb of Harmony can’t be abused by Genjis or the like while Zenyatta still retains effectiveness in dense areas.
These changes to Orb of Harmony/ Discord I think will make for far more interesting game, allow for stronger buffs/ abilities and let the development team have greater flexibility in hero design because players can switch to Zenyatta to neutralize over-buffed characters or abusive combos in-game but I doubt that those changes will happen.
